Cloudera will host the EVOLVE26 Government Summit on Oct. 29 in Washington, D.C., bringing public-sector and technology leaders to discuss how agencies plan to use AI with governed approaches for data they manage. The event is expected to focus on the operational and governance requirements connected to using AI with data located across environments.
EVOLVE26 Government Summit will build on Cloudera’s EVOLVE26 event series and is positioned around priorities for public-sector AI adoption. Those priorities include modernizing cyber operations, reducing data silos, and working with JADC2 while turning distributed government data into mission-ready intelligence.
The summit content includes keynotes, technical sessions, demonstrations, and peer networking. Sessions and discussions are described as covering AI initiatives across hybrid environments with security, governance, and control; methods for breaking down silos to produce trusted insights; and approaches that use governed data with AI in defensive cyber operations and threat prevention.
General (Ret.) Keith Alexander, former Director of the National Security Agency and inaugural Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, will deliver a keynote. Speakers from Cloudera include Charles Sansbury, Leo Brunnick, Brian Rosso, Ian Brooks, Kevin Talbert, and Bill Zhang. “The AI era is raising the stakes for government agencies. As the technology is adopted into mission-critical workflows, agencies need to put sensitive data to work without sacrificing the control and sovereignty their missions require,” said Leo Brunnick, Chief Product Officer at Cloudera. “The opportunity is to bring the speed and agility of the cloud to data wherever it resides, giving agencies the freedom to innovate while maintaining the control and sovereignty their missions require. EVOLVE26 DC will bring this community together to exchange practical lessons on how to put that vision into practice and move AI initiatives forward at mission scale.”
