Cisco and G42 deepen US-UAE technology partnership to build secure, end-to-end AI infrastructure in the UAE.

Cisco and G42 announced an expansion of their partnership focused on secure Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure development in the UAE. This initiative aligns with the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, reinforcing technology collaboration between the two nations.

The strengthened collaboration will integrate Cisco’s secure AI infrastructure into G42’s operations. A large-scale AI cluster will utilize AMD’s MI350X GPUs to provide the necessary computational power. This marks a significant step towards enhancing AI capabilities in the region.

Cisco’s role involves acting as the technology integrator within G42’s Regulated Technology Environment, ensuring compliance and protection against unauthorized access. The partnership is set to contribute to various ongoing projects under the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, including major AI infrastructure developments in Abu Dhabi.

Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, stated: “This collaboration with Cisco represents the next phase of deepening trust and technological alignment between the US and UAE under the AI Acceleration Partnership.” Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco, emphasized the partnership's aim to deliver secure infrastructure while supporting the UAE’s digital transformation journey.

The deployment aims to address the current gap in Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) capacity among organizations in the UAE, where 92% plan to implement AI agents yet only 25% have adequate GPU resources. Cisco's infrastructure intends to bridge this gap, reinforcing the commitment to the region's digital ambitions.

Cisco’s full-stack AI solutions will include compute, networking, storage, and security, designed to support complex AI workloads. The collaboration is pending regulatory clearances and is expected to progress in the upcoming months.
