Capgemini makes solutions available on AWS European Sovereign Cloud

Capgemini made its sovereign-ready cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, an independent cloud fully located and operated within the European Union; the move addressed digital sovereignty requirements for European clients.

The release placed the announcement in the context of shifting sovereignty and data-control requirements that were reshaping organizational approaches to trust, resilience and long-term competitiveness; it noted that boards, regulators and customers sought tighter oversight of sensitive data and critical workloads, and that organizations sought greater choice to retain operational independence and firm control.

Capgemini cited its experience in secure transformation, risk management and delivery of complex projects in highly regulated sectors as the basis for the offering, and it described a structured, risk-aware approach that lets organizations assess sovereignty requirements and risk profiles before defining architectures or operating models.

The firms outlined areas of work tied to the offering: modernizing critical workloads with EU-only operations and robust data-flow controls; strengthening compliance to reduce regulatory exposure; improving resilience for mission-critical applications; operating within sovereignty-aligned environments that maintain full organizational control; and aligning long-term cloud strategies with national and industry sovereignty objectives.
