Broadcom Inc. and FedEx Corp. continued a long-standing relationship under a consolidated agreement. The arrangement supports FedEx's ongoing efforts to optimize digital infrastructure and modernize applications.
FedEx is described as a global transportation and logistics leader. Broadcom is a technology leader that designs, develops, and supplies semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions. That infrastructure underpins the fast, reliable, and efficient global services that power FedEx's day-to-day operations.
VMware Cloud Foundation supports FedEx's extensive private cloud infrastructure and maintains a highly automated, secure operating model across its data center environment. It provides a consistent infrastructure that pairs the flexibility of cloud-era operations with the security and performance controls required for mission-critical workloads.
Under the consolidated agreement, FedEx relies on the portfolio, which includes VMware Avi Load Balancer and VMware Tanzu Platform, to maintain its technology estate. The arrangement also builds on the private cloud foundation that supports FedEx's digital infrastructure optimization and application modernization.
“FedEx sets the bar for technology leadership and innovation in the logistics industry, and we're proud to support that work,” said Regan McGrath, president, Americas, Broadcom. “By making VMware software central to their private cloud and app modernization strategy, FedEx continues to optimize their infrastructure, simplify operations, and maintain a highly secure, modern environment that scales naturally with their business.”
FedEx will continue using the Broadcom portfolio under the consolidated agreement.
