ASUS listed in Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2026

ASUS was named in Clarivate’s Top 100 Global Innovators for 2026, a designation tied to measures of patent activity and patent performance and noted in the company announcement.

Clarivate’s listing evaluated the volume of patent filings, patents awarded, the quality of patented technology, and the leadership reflected by those patents, according to the release.

ASUS said it had obtained a total of 9,761 patents as of Q3 2025, with filings that covered communication standards and networking technologies, cybersecurity and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), mobile devices and guidance/navigation mechanisms, Artificial Intelligence (AI) server technologies and Generative AI (GenAI), medical information platforms, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions; the company also declared 416 Standard Essential Patent families with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

For the period Q1–Q3 2025, ASUS reported 342 patents awarded globally, including 139 in Taiwan and 203 across other Asian regions, Europe, North America, and Brazil, and it recorded 109 patents tied to investment in the high-end communications market in Taiwan; at CES 2026 the company presented its Copilot+ Process Control System (PCS), laptops such as the Zenbook DUO, ExpertBook Ultra, and Zephyrus DUO, and material Ceraluminum™.

“We are honored to be named a Top 100 Global Innovator once again,” said S.Y. Hsu, ASUS Co-CEO. “Guided by our user-centric design thinking, we are expanding our patent portfolio beyond hardware into frontier fields like 5G SEPs (Standard-Essential-Patents) and AI. By collaborating closely with academia on international innovative technologies, we continue to demonstrate our global influence in patents.”

ASUS said its goal was to create a net zero enterprise that helped drive the shift towards a circular economy with a responsible supply chain.
