ASUS opens pre-orders for Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407
ASUS placed pre-orders for the Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407, an evolved dual-screen laptop aimed at longer battery operation, more portability, and an updated user experience. The company said shipments would start April 8, 2026, following the opening of pre-orders on March 23, 2026.
In the company’s description, the updated system paired dual upgraded ASUS Lumina Pro OLED displays with changes to chassis materials and internal components. ASUS said the UX8407 chassis used a Ceraluminum™ build and that the design included a new hideaway hinge and a redesigned integrated kickstand, alongside a keyboard docking system.
Functionally, Zenbook DUO (2026) UX8407 used a dual 14-inch 3K OLED arrangement with 70% less gap between screens, variable refresh rates listed as 48–144Hz, and up to 1,000 nits HDR peak brightness. The configuration included an upgraded six-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system and ScreenXpert software that auto-detected when the lid opened beyond 175° to activate sharing and annotation tools.
ASUS said the laptop used a 99Wh dual-battery layout and supported Intel® Core™ Ultra X9 processor 388H, while the system’s power and cooling included precision CNC-cut vents and larger 97-blade fans. The company also listed pre-order details through the ASUS Store, with availability later this year on Best Buy for a more powerful variant; MSRP started at C$2,899 for the configuration with Intel® Core™ Ultra U7 processor 355.
