Asiacell expands partnership with LigaData to enhance AI and data governance in Iraq telecom

Asiacell, a telecommunications operator in Iraq, expanded its collaboration with LigaData, focusing on enhancements in data governance, Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration, and analytics modernization.

The developments aim to improve Asiacell's organizational decision-making processes and operational management by adopting advanced data solutions to support personalized service delivery.

The implementation involved LigaData's Data Platform and AI Fabric, which includes GPU-enabled capabilities for training and deploying predictive models, targeting areas such as churn prevention, marketing, and network performance.

Asiacell migrated to LigaData's unified Data Platform to consolidate disparate data sources, thereby increasing scalability, enabling real-time analytics, and lowering latency in business intelligence activities.

Amer Sunna, CEO of Asiacell, said, “Our partnership with LigaData continues to unlock the full value of our data and accelerate our AI transformation journey. These initiatives mark a major step forward in our vision to build an AI-powered organization — delivering smarter, more personalized, and efficient experiences for our customers.” Bassel Ojjeh, CEO of LigaData, said, “Asiacell's data-driven culture and strategic vision for AI make them one of the most forward-looking telecom operators in the region. Our collaboration with Asiacell has laid a powerful foundation for AI product innovation. From unified data platforms to GPU-enabled AI Fabric. All powered through our RD centers in Silicon Valley and Dubai. Together, we are positioning Asiacell at the forefront of telecom intelligence.”

Future collaboration plans include advancing intelligent operations by leveraging AI Fabric and Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) to develop additional data-driven applications.
