Allied Telesis launches OneConnect unified cloud network management platform

Allied Telesis introduced OneConnect, a cloud-based platform intended to consolidate network management for wired, wireless, and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments. The platform aims to assist organizations in operating more efficiently through enhanced oversight and automation.

OneConnect offers operational benefits by providing enterprise IT teams, managed service providers, and partners with a unified view of their entire infrastructure. This capability is designed to streamline network administration, speed up issue resolution, and reduce reliance on multiple management tools.

The platform features a secure, scalable multi-tenant cloud architecture and an intuitive interface that facilitates real-time monitoring and control. Functionality includes Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for automated device configuration, predictive analytics, AI-driven network assurance, and integration support through open APIs, RADIUS, and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) protocols. These elements support comprehensive visibility across connected devices, including Internet of Things (IoT) endpoints.

The collaboration between organizations included scope for developing a consolidated dashboard and embedding an AI-powered network assistant capable of offering configuration guidance, automating updates, and diagnosing performance concerns. Licensing is delivered via a subscription model that applies uniformly across device types and allows co-term renewals, which is intended to simplify procurement and cost predictability.

Rahul Gupta, Chief Technology Officer at Allied Telesis, said, “With OneConnect, Allied Telesis is reimagining network management for the cloud era. It's not just about connecting devices — it's about giving customers and partners the intelligence, simplicity, and flexibility to run their networks effortlessly. Our AI network assistant acts as a virtual expert available 24/7. It empowers users to save time and effort, allowing them to focus on higher-value tasks and enjoy greater autonomy.”

The company noted that OneConnect is available through an early access phase highlighting its cloud management and Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionalities. Further updates with additional automation, analytics, and orchestration capabilities are planned for subsequent releases. Allied Telesis will maintain support for its existing Vista Manager network management solution to allow for different operational preferences.
