NTT DATA Business Solutions acquires The Cloud People

NTT DATA Business Solutions acquired The Cloud People Group AS, a ServiceNow partner based in Oslo, Norway, in a deal the companies said aimed to extend NTT DATA Business Solutions’ ServiceNow capabilities and regional presence.

The Cloud People was founded in 2019 and operated offices across northern Europe, the USA and Brazil; the acquisition added about 130 active customers to NTT DATA Business Solutions' portfolio, according to the companies.

The Cloud People delivered services across multiple ServiceNow workflows, including IT service management, incident, problem and change management, automation of routine tasks, resource planning, employee onboarding and offboarding, customer service and Security Operations (SecOps). The company maintained a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence and had delivered measurable results for more than 20 clients across Northern Europe.

The transaction moved The Cloud People into the NTT DATA Business Solutions organization and brought its ServiceNow capabilities into the acquiring company’s offerings while keeping the Oslo headquarters and the cited offices as part of the combined footprint.

ServiceNow named NTT DATA a strategic AI delivery partner and both organizations committed to co-developing and marketing AI-powered solutions intended to enable large-scale automation and operational efficiency, and The Cloud People will operate as an independent company after the acquisition, using the brand name “The Cloud People, an NTT DATA Business Solutions company”.
