Acronis appoints Mark Wong as chief corporate and business development officer
Acronis has appointed Mark Wong as its Chief Corporate & Business Development Officer, a role in which he will also serve as General Counsel. The position includes oversight of the companys legal, governance, government and regulatory affairs, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
Wong previously held the role of General Counsel at Acronis from 2010 until 2017, during which time he contributed to establishing the company's legal and governance frameworks amid its international growth phase. His return comes as Acronis continues its expansion efforts.
Before rejoining Acronis, Wong spent almost nine years at a backup and replication software company where he was Senior Vice President of Legal. In that capacity, he led a global legal department that supported operations in 30 countries and oversaw multiple strategic acquisitions during company growth.
In his new position, Wong will manage key strategic growth functions, including legal and governance oversight, government and regulatory affairs, and M&A to support Acronis' development plans.
