Acronis expands #TeamUp partnership with BC Lions supported by Sunco
Acronis said it expanded its #TeamUp partnership in Canada with the BC Lions and Sunco. The effort centers on providing cybersecurity and data protection for the BC Lions’ IT infrastructure during the Canadian Football League season.
The company described the BC Lions as a Vancouver-based professional sports organization founded in 1954, and said the club has won six Grey Cup championships. Sunco was described as a Canada-based systems integrator and IT managed service provider with more than 25 years of experience.
Acronis said it would deliver natively integrated cybersecurity and data protection solutions for the BC Lions’ IT infrastructure. Sunco was named as an Acronis Delivery Partner and #CyberFit Partner, supporting deployment and ongoing management. The release also states that Acronis solutions target functions including identify, prevent, detect, respond, remediate, and recover.
In the partnership, Acronis positioned the offering as cyber protection with natively integrated components, while Sunco provided managed IT and communications expertise. “We are excited to expand our #TeamUp presence in Canada with the BC Lions and Sunco,” said Pat Hurley, RVP Americas at Acronis. “With Acronis’ technology and Sunco’s expertise, we are reinforcing our infrastructure to support both our ambitions on the field and our day-to-day business operations,” said Duane Vienneau, President at the BC Lions. “We are proud to support the BC Lions through this collaboration with Acronis,” said Sean Schoenberger, President at Sunco.
Acronis said service providers can join the Acronis #TeamUp Program to deliver Acronis Cyber Protection solutions to professional sports teams.
