Acronis Cyber Foundation Program and Eyetech Host Cyber Safety Sessions in Malta

Acronis Cyber Foundation Program and Malta-based managed services provider Eyetech hosted interactive cyber safety sessions for young people in Mellieħa, aiming to teach safer online habits. The event put the program’s education model into a local setting through two game-based learning sessions for children.

The sessions were organized for children ages 8 to 13 from Mellieħa Sports Club in Malta. Eyetech led the learning activities with support from Acronis and used educational games and hands-on activities to cover how to recognize online risks and protect personal information.

At the sessions, Eyetech led “The Case of the Hacked Tablet,” described as a cyber detective game for identifying suspicious online activity and protecting personal information. Acronis followed with “The Cyber Detectives. True or False Challenge,” a physical cyber awareness game addressing passwords, phishing, privacy, deep fakes, digital footprints, AI, and responsible online behavior.

Patrick Cutajar, CEO of Eyetech, said, “It was incredibly rewarding for Eyetech to contribute locally and help children in our community develop safer digital habits,” and added, “We first saw this type of educational initiative at Acronis and decided to replicate it here in Malta.” Slav Umlenov, Country Manager CEE at Acronis, said, “By combining education with interactive games and teamwork, we make cybersecurity concepts easier to understand, more memorable, and more engaging for young audiences.” The program described in the initiative supports education, IT skills development, and environmental preservation initiatives through projects worldwide.
