Accels described how token consumption has become a rapidly increasing cost for enterprises, while many organizations still lack systems to measure, forecast, and finance that spending. The company said token usage is frequently handled through manual processes rather than infrastructure designed for ongoing financial management.
According to the release, enterprise spending on AI tokens has been growing faster than the systems built to track it. It cited a McKinsey study that said enterprise LLM spending tripled in twelve months even as the cost per token fell sharply, and it referenced a Goldman Sachs projection that token consumption would increase 24-fold by 2030. The release also said token spending often remains difficult to forecast and finance.
Accels said its Accels Router product provides reliable, low-latency access to a wide range of language models. The release added that the platform is being upgraded and expanded to cover 15 leading model providers and more than 150 AI models through a single API. It also described a design approach in which routing data, billing data, and credit assessment operate as a single system so consumption patterns can inform credit profiles and financing terms.

The release said Accels is exploring additional capabilities beyond routing, including capabilities intended to support how AI agents operate, spend, and grow while managing token consumption as both an operational input and a financial resource. “The companies that will win in AI are not just the ones with the best models,” Raymond said, “They are the ones that can manage the economics of running agents at scale.”
