Vodafone and Kaltura extend partnership to enhance Cloud TV services
Vodafone Group Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Kaltura announced an extension of their partnership, which began over a decade ago, to enhance the Kaltura-powered Vodafone TV solution (VTV). This collaboration is set to strengthen Vodafone’s position in the Cloud TV market across Europe.
Since its launch in 2014, VTV has attracted several million subscribers across eight markets, providing reliable video experiences. The partnership has facilitated Vodafones's shift from traditional IPTV services to cloud-native over-the-top offerings, fostering growth for both organizations.
The extended partnership will focus on expanding VTV capabilities and functionalities, reaching additional subscribers, and exploring new AI-integrated offerings. These advancements aim to improve user engagement, interactivity, personalization, monetization, and operational efficiency.
Alberto Ripepi, Group Chief Network Officer at Vodafone, emphasized the successful collaboration stating, “We partnered with Kaltura over ten years ago due to its innovative vision,” underscoring the effective integration of OTT and Pay-TV services. Ron Yekutiel, Co-founder and CEO of Kaltura, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership and upcoming AI-enhancements, which aim to refine customer interactions.
