Versa integrates Secure SD-WAN with Microsoft Entra Internet Access

Versa announced the automation of its Secure Software-Defined Wide Area Network (WAN) (SD-WAN) with Microsoft Entra Internet Access. This integration enhances the Security Service Edge (Security Services Edge (SSE)) solution to create a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering, providing security and performance improvements tailored for branch offices.

The automated integration distinguishes Versa's application-aware Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) as one of a few in Microsoft’s SASE partner ecosystem. It removes manual setup requirements, enabling automatic enforcement of security and networking policies across various branches and remote networks.

According to Sinead O’Donovan, Vice President of Product Management at Microsoft, this integration supports a unified Zero Trust approach, ensuring safer and more reliable user access. Rahul Vaidya from Versa pointed out that this solution benefits organizations utilizing Microsoft 365 and Teams, enabling secure application performance for Microsoft’s extensive customer base.

This integration addresses common issues in SASE adoption where enterprises face challenges due to disconnected networking and security features. The unification aims to simplify operations and extend Zero Trust principles across users and applications, facilitating confidence in transitioning to an AI-focused business strategy.

The Versa and Microsoft integration is available immediately, with additional resources available through Versa’s website.
