Varsity Brands appoints Satish Mehta as chief technology and product officer
Varsity Brands appointed Satish Mehta as chief technology and product officer to lead product and technology strategy and to advance digital platforms and customer experience.
The role covered product and technology across Varsity Brands' divisions BSN SPORTS and Varsity Spirit and was intended to simplify how teams, coaches, athletes, and employees engaged with the company's technology-driven offerings.
Mehta brought more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale technology, data, and digital transformation initiatives. He served as chief technology officer at Chewy, where he led a transformation of Chewy's technology architecture, expanded engineering and data teams, and advanced capabilities across cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Earlier he held senior technology leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group, Staples, and Yahoo!, and he served on the Board of Directors of Express, Inc., where he supported technology strategy, governance, and organizational transformation.
