Titan.ium Platform Launches Cloud Native Number Portability Product to Support Telecoms' Infrastructure Modernization
Titan.ium Platform introduced its cloud native Number Portability (NP) product aimed at telecom operators and system integrators. This solution targets modernization of existing infrastructures and is designed to align with modern technologies such as 5G, edge computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The NP product is built as a microservices-based application, orchestrated with Kubernetes, offering benefits in rapid deployment, scalability, and automation. This system supports various network generations from 2G to 5G, including fixed-line and IP-based services. The NP software functions as a central gateway for portability data, accessing both local and external data sources via multiple signaling protocols.
Deloitte's 2025 Telecommunications Industry Outlook indicated that telecom providers are focused on updating essential systems to meet customer demands and enhance digital capabilities. Mahesh Seshan, senior director of engineering at Titan.ium Platform, stressed the importance of viewing Number Portability as part of a broader strategy. He said, “This greater vision can be made possible with the Titan.ium cloud native NP product. It combines the power of a cloud native platform and a micro-services based application enabling a modern, multi-generational approach.”
The NP software complements Titan.ium’s VNF-based NP solution and provides various deployment models to suit the modernization objectives of Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators. It aims to streamline porting operations while maintaining service delivery. Key advantages of the NP software include faster time to market, high availability for managing porting volumes, reduced operating expenses due to lifecycle automation, and smooth migration from existing VNF-based solutions.
