Tenable Holdings introduces continuous security control validation in Tenable One
Tenable Holdings, Inc. described new continuous security control and validation capabilities inside its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. The company said the capability is intended to confirm which cyber exposures are accessible and exploitable, to support more precise prioritization.
In Tenable’s account, exploitability depends on an organization’s environment, and teams can struggle to separate true threats from false positives without continuous security validation. Tenable said this can add prioritization and remediation workload when potential risks have mitigations in place.
Tenable said it integrated compensating security controls into exposure prioritization and that Tenable One continuously validates security controls by cross-referencing threat intelligence and attack feasibility against real-time defense status. Tenable also said the resulting data is fed into Tenable Hexa AI for automated remediation workflows.
Tenable said the validation capabilities are now available to all Tenable One customers. “Our customers’ biggest challenge is knowing which exposures attackers can actually exploit and how to prioritize them,” said Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer, Tenable. “With continuous security control validation, Tenable One now delivers visibility and context into customers’ unique security controls, further enhancing prioritization efforts. Our platform enables security teams to stop chasing theoretical risk and focus their resources on the true, exploitable threats to their business. CISOs gain confidence that their evidence-based exposure management strategy will protect against AI-powered attacks.”
Forward-looking statements in the release addressed expected capabilities, benefits, and performance of the continuous security control and validation capabilities within Tenable One, and expected impact on risk prioritization, remediation, and security posture.
