Tech Mahindra announces global launch of Altavec™ platform

Tech Mahindra has announced the global launch of Altavec™, a spatial technology platform focused on geospatial data management and mapping operations. This platform is being rolled out in new markets including the United States and Europe, building on its previous success in Australia and the APJ region. Altavec™ aims to provide industries with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) solutions.

The AI-driven platform utilizes human expertise combined with advanced automation, enabling organizations to convert spatial data into actionable insights. Its modular architecture facilitates integration and scalability for sectors such as utilities, telecommunications, government, and infrastructure planning, thereby optimizing operations.

Birendra Sen, President of Business Process Services at Tech Mahindra, stated that Altavec™ addresses contemporary challenges like climate change and operational costs while managing geospatial data and regulatory demands. He emphasized the platform’s role in enhancing efficiency and enabling informed decision-making.

Altavec™ employs Machine Learning (ML) and cloud-based technology to provide timely spatial intelligence. Features like LiDAR and high-definition imagery support infrastructure risk mitigation by creating accurate 3D models. The platform is designed to cater specifically to the needs of infrastructure operators and maintainers through its adaptable framework.

Tervinderjit Singh, from Third Eye Advisory, remarked that Altavec™ allows utility and telecommunication companies, as well as local governments, to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to improve service delivery effectively. He noted the long-term benefits for stakeholders and environmental sustainability.
