Sumo Logic introduces Snowflake Logs and Databricks Audit apps

Sumo Logic released the Snowflake Logs App and the Databricks Audit App to provide customers deeper visibility across modern data stacks, stronger security analytics and faster troubleshooting.

The company said that, with data volumes and associated vulnerabilities rapidly growing, security, operations, and data teams require unified, real-time insight into user activity, configuration changes, performance issues, and potential threats across their environment. These apps expanded Sumo Logic's coverage for Databricks and Snowflake platforms to help teams detect anomalies, investigate incidents, and monitor and optimize operations.

Sumo Logic described the Snowflake Logs App as able to analyze login and access activity to identify anomalies or potentially suspicious behavior, surface insights into long-running or failing queries for pipeline and workload optimization, and centralize log data to enable correlation across applications, cloud services, and data platforms. The app also provided real-time dashboards and alerting to shorten troubleshooting and support operational reliability.

The Databricks Audit App provided centralized visibility into user activity, job execution, access patterns, and administrative operations and provided real-time detection of unauthorized access attempts, privilege escalations, and anomalous behavior. The app included visualizations that contextualized activity across multiple workspaces to support faster incident investigations.

Both the Databricks Audit App and Snowflake Logs App were made available in the Sumo Logic App Catalog, and Sumo Logic said any information regarding offerings, updates, functionality, or other modifications was subject to change without notice and that the development, release, and timing of any offering, update, functionality, or modification remained at the sole discretion of Sumo Logic.
