Sophos partners with Spektrum Labs to verify MDR resilience

Sophos and Spektrum Labs announced a partnership to connect Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR) with Spektrum’s verification capabilities so organizations could provide insurers with verifiable proof of cyber resilience.

The companies said the arrangement addressed several persistent challenges: underwriters lacked access to telemetry that validated outcomes from cybersecurity controls, insurers faced difficulty validating the configuration of security tools, and customers lacked visibility into whether resilience controls affected insurance coverage and premiums; Managed Service Providers were noted as increasingly expected to support customer access to cyber insurance.

The integration tied Spektrum Cyber Resilience to Sophos Central and produced cryptographic Cyber Resilience Tokens that documented controls were enabled, properly configured, and functioning as intended; the combined solution also provided continuous configuration monitoring, verification of compliance, automated remediation for deviations, and direct visibility into incidents that Sophos MDR prevented.

The offering provided Managed Services Provider (MSP) partners with access to preferred cyber insurance programs from leading global carriers, reduced application friction, accelerated qualification, and enabled policy binding in minutes via a panel of insurers; it also supplied deeper insights into unmanaged assets, incident exposure, configuration weaknesses, resilience gaps, and misaligned insurance posture, and supported Sophos partners in helping organizations adopt Sophos MDR faster while closing cyber risk gaps.

“Our customers count on Sophos MDR to stop attacks before they cause real damage. By partnering with Spektrum, we take that a step further, delivering immediate, verifiable proof of insurance that reduces friction and accelerates trust with brokers, boards, and underwriters. Together, MDR and cyber insurance cost less and deliver more when they operate as one.” said Chris Bell, SVP of global channels, alliances, and corporate development, Sophos.

The integrated Sophos and Spektrum offering was available to select customers and partners, and the companies said broader availability was planned for mid-2026.
