Sophos Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection
Oxford, United Kingdom-based Sophos said it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection for the 17th consecutive report. The designation comes as Sophos described continued demand for endpoint security capabilities that address automated and AI-assisted threats.
Sophos said its endpoint security portfolio included Sophos Endpoint, Sophos Extended Detection and Response (EDR/XDR), and Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR). The release also stated that more than 600,000 organizations worldwide rely on Sophos to help defend against threats, including ransomware and AI-driven attacks that move across identities, endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
The release described a “AI-Native Cybersecurity Defense System” that ties Sophos Endpoint together with network, email, identity, and cloud security technologies. It said the system integrates AI into detection and response workflows and scales from mid-market to enterprise environments on a single system managed from one console in Sophos Central.
In addition to the Magic Quadrant designation, Sophos cited Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’ recognition for Endpoint Protection Platforms and for Extended Detection and Response, and it cited peer contributors for Managed Detection and Response. Kyle Falkenhagen, Senior Vice President, Product Management, Sophos, said, “Attackers are increasingly using automation and AI to identify and exploit vulnerabilities faster than ever before,” and added, “This is driving renewed importance for endpoint security, particularly approaches that prevent exploits from succeeding in the first place.”
