Sophos partners with Spektrum Labs on verifiable cyber resilience for insurers
Sophos and Spektrum Labs announced a partnership to connect Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR) with Spektrum’s verifiable resilience measures, to enable organizations to provide insurers with proof of their cyber resilience and to access stronger insurance incentives.
The announcement listed ongoing challenges the partners addressed: underwriters lack visibility into telemetry that validates outcomes from cybersecurity controls; insurers face difficulty validating the configuration of cybersecurity tools; and customers lack clarity on whether resilience controls affect coverage or premiums.
Spektrum, described in the release as the creator of the Fusion Platform for continuous cyber resilience validation, integrated its Cyber Resilience capability with the Sophos Central console to produce verifiable, cryptographic Spektrum Cyber Resilience Tokens and to surface telemetry that demonstrates that controls are enabled, configured, and operating as intended.
The release said the integration gave Managed Service Provider partners access to insurer programs and outlined benefits for organizations, including immediate return on Sophos MDR investment through access to preferred cyber insurance programs from leading global carriers, reduced application friction, accelerated qualification and policy binding in minutes, and continuous configuration monitoring with automated remediation and direct visibility into MDR-prevented incidents.
“Our customers count on Sophos MDR to stop attacks before they cause real damage. By partnering with Spektrum, we take that a step further, delivering immediate, verifiable proof of insurance that reduces friction and accelerates trust with brokers, boards, and underwriters. Together, MDR and cyber insurance cost less and deliver more when they operate as one.” said Chris Bell, SVP of global channels, alliances, and corporate development, Sophos.
The integrated Sophos and Spektrum offering was available to select customers and partners, and broader availability was planned for mid-2026.
