Scality delivers first to market, complete high-availability solution for customers using Veeam’s new appliance capabilities, bringing enterprise-class cyber resilience to mid-size organizations

Scality introduced ARTESCA+ Veeam HA, a unified software appliance that combines Veeam Data Platform with Scality ARTESCA object storage. The company said the package is designed to provide triple high availability and immutable storage backed by a $100,000 cyber guarantee.

Scality positioned the solution as an evolution of a unified appliance first launched in April 2025 as a single-node system. It said ARTESCA+ Veeam HA scales from 50 TB to 10 PB and supports a multi-node architecture designed to continue operating if a node goes down.

The appliance uses S3 Object Lock in compliance mode to enforce immutability at the storage level, with no user, administrator, or attacker able to modify, delete, or encrypt backup data during the retention period. Scality also described CORE5 technology as creating cyber resilience across five levels from API to infrastructure, and said it includes a predefined firewall enforcing zero-trust and least-privilege access.

Scality said the product delivered application HA through Veeam Data Platform v13 and the Veeam Software Appliance, database HA for metadata resilience across nodes, and storage HA through ARTESCA’s distributed multi-node architecture. In support of the $100,000 ARTESCA Cyber Guarantee, Scality said it pays directly to any ARTESCA customer if an external cyberattack compromises immutably stored data. “Scality ARTESCA+ Veeam and the integrated high-availability features makes it easier for customers to adopt immutable backups without adding complexity. By bringing the core Veeam capabilities onto the same appliance as the storage, deployment is simpler, day-to-day operations are more straightforward, and there are built-in safeguards to keep the solution running even if a component fails.
