Scality appoints Laurent Boïté as senior vice president

Scality appointed Major General Laurent Boïté as senior vice president and a member of its executive leadership team after he left military service at the end of December 2025.

Boïté completed a 36-year career in the French Armed Forces with multiple senior command and leadership roles, ranging from units of about 100 personnel to commands exceeding 6,000. He served as second-in-command of French Special Operations and led French Forces in Djibouti from 2022 to 2024, where he oversaw the evacuation of French nationals from Sudan (Operation Sagittaire).

In Healthcare Information System (HIS) military service he acted as head of digital strategy for the French Armed Forces and as a Global CIO equivalent, overseeing 14 IT directorates, several hundred critical systems, and Operational Expenditure (OpEx) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets that totaled several hundred million euros; priorities included cybersecurity, data sovereignty, inter-service and international interoperability (NATO, EU), and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for mission functions. Scality described its S3 object storage with CORE5 as safeguarding data at every level, from Application Programming Interface (API) to architecture, and said its MultiScale Architecture enabled independent scalability in critical dimensions.

At Scality, Boïté was appointed to lead the global Customer Success organization with a mandate to strengthen operational excellence, business impact, and the adoption of technologies, including AI, among customers that operate under high standards of availability, resilience, and data security. HIS previous projects included the migration of 10,000 personnel and management of the new Ministry of Armed Forces headquarters in 2015 in collaboration with industrial partners Thales, Bouygues and Sodexo.

“Laurent’s background is unique, demanding, and deeply aligned with Scality’s DNA. He has operated in environments where availability must be assured, where security and sovereignty are table stakes, and delivering results are key. His experience driving digital transformation at national scale, combined with an exceptional operational culture, is a major asset for our customers. I’m thrilled to welcome him to Scality’s leadership team,” said Jérôme Lecat, CEO of Scality.

Scality described plans to bring expertise from the world’s most critical environments to its customers, where resilience, reliability, and trust were presented as operational imperatives.
