Ribbon Communications Inc. partners with Techland to upgrade Nasstar network
Ribbon Communications Inc. worked with UK distributor Techland, a Gamma company, to upgrade Nasstar's national voice infrastructure; the release said the initiative helped modernize and secure networks and services for service providers, enterprises and critical infrastructure operators worldwide.
Nasstar, a managed IT and cloud services provider supporting large enterprises and public sector organizations, selected Ribbon to replace an incumbent vendor and transition from legacy infrastructure. The release said the upgrade enhanced service reliability, reduced operational costs, and enabled next-generation capabilities.
Nasstar is deploying Ribbon's SIP-enabled voice platform, including centralized routing via PSX, voice security via SBC and centralized management via RAMP. Ribbon Analytics provides insights into network performance and leverages Machine Learning (ML) for fraud detection, and the architecture supports national interconnect, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) PBX trunking and Microsoft Teams integrations.
Techland acted as Ribbon's UK distributor for the program and worked on upgrading Nasstar's national voice infrastructure. The work replaced a competing vendor's solution and moved operations off legacy equipment toward the deployed Ribbon platform.
“Nasstar's decision to move from a competing solution highlights our ability to deliver operational efficiency, security and agility,” said Steve McCaffery, Ribbon's Executive Vice President Global Sales “Together, we're building a network that meets today's demands and is ready for tomorrow's opportunities.”
The release included forward-looking statements about expected benefits from use of Ribbon Communications' products, noted actual results may differ materially from those statements, and referred readers to Ribbon Communications' most recent annual or quarterly report for associated risks.
