Red Hat updates AI portfolio for hybrid cloud deployment
Red Hat has updated its Artificial Intelligence (AI) portfolio, enhancing capabilities in Red Hat OpenShift AI and Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI. These updates aim to support enterprises in deploying AI solutions efficiently across hybrid cloud environments. The latest iteration of Red Hat OpenShift AI, now at version 2.18, introduces features such as distributed serving, which allows IT teams to share model workloads across multiple GPUs to optimize computational resources. The platform also provides end-to-end model tuning capabilities through InstructLab and simplifies model management processes in production settings. Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) now serves as a foundation model platform, enabling organizations to develop, test, and operate large language models (LLMs). Version 1.4 includes support for the Granite 3.1 model, which enhances multilingual capabilities and improves summarization functionality.
