PTC said Fisica Applied Technologies selected Creo computer-aided design (CAD) and Windchill product lifecycle management (PLM) for product design and development. The decision affects how Fisica managed engineering collaboration across its organization after corporate changes.
PTC said Fisica had to build a consistent digital engineering foundation to support collaboration across four business units and multiple locations. Fisica also needed design consistency, configuration control, and traceability for complex defense programs.
According to PTC, the arrangement uses Creo and Windchill within Fisica’s engineering environment. PTC described the broader goal of having a product data foundation in engineering, extending that data across the enterprise, and using it to support product lifecycle activities.
PTC said Fisica chose the Creo CAD and Windchill PLM solutions following its spinoff from L3Harris and the merger of three antenna system providers. In a quote, Adam Erskine of Fisica said, “Standardization was essential as we brought together multiple organizations and engineering teams,” and added, “Building on technology with which our teams worked well allowed us to move quickly, collaborate effectively, and maintain confidence in our data and processes from day one.”
PTC said the portfolio is intended to support both near-term operational needs and long-term growth.
