SASE revenue rises 22% to $2.7 billion in Q2 2025

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) revenue grew to $2.7 billion in Q2 2025, marking a 22% increase driven by integrated technologies. This update is pertinent to IT decision-makers considering cloud security and networking strategies.

Market Overview

According to Dell'Oro Group, the SASE sector achieved $2.7 billion in revenue in Q2 2025, reflecting a 22% growth compared to the previous year. The increase is attributed to enterprises adopting architectures that integrate Software-Defined Wide Area Network (WAN) (SD-WAN) and Security Services Edge (SSE) technologies.

Senior Director Mauricio Sanchez highlighted that companies providing both Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and SSE represent 84% of the market, demonstrating effective integration. SD-WAN revenue increased by 27%, while SSE revenue saw a 19% rise during the same timeframe.

Company Performances

Cisco experienced the largest revenue rise in the SD-WAN sector, achieving a 52% increase following a shift from older Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) routers to its Catalyst 8k and Meraki SD-WAN products. Palo Alto Networks followed with a 73% rise in SD-WAN revenue and a 35% increase in SSE revenue.

Despite a 15% decline in the Access Router market due to increased interest in SD-WAN solutions, the overall branch networking revenue, which includes Access Routers and SD-WAN, rose by 13%. This marks the first instance of double-digit growth since Q3 2023.

Technological Advancements

Aviz Networks has focused on enhancing enterprise networking with AI-driven and open-source solutions. Their initiative includes the introduction of Network Copilot™, which aims to improve network observability through real-time insights.

Moreover, Ericsson announced the incorporation of agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) within its NetCloud platform to enable self-healing capabilities for private 5G networks. This is intended to simplify deployment and improve operational efficiency through automated network management.

Conclusion

This report outlines that the SASE market has shown notable growth due to various technological integrations and shifts among leading companies. It serves as a factual summary of developments relevant to enterprise IT leaders.
