Oracle introduces AI agents in Fusion Cloud Applications
Oracle introduced new Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents embedded in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to assist supply chain professionals act faster, reduce risk, and improve operational performance.
The company said the agents were designed to accelerate decision-making and improve efficiency across planning, procurement, manufacturing, maintenance, and logistics by automating end-to-end workflows and delivering actionable insights.
The agents were built with Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications and Radio Access Network (RAN) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; they were prebuilt with integrated security features and were natively integrated into Oracle Fusion Applications at no additional cost, and they were embedded within existing workflows to support user tasks and decisions.
Oracle described the new agents as covering planning, product lifecycle management, procurement, maintenance, manufacturing, inventory management, logistics, order management, and service, with capabilities including task coordination and assignment, component replacement recommendations and change order generation, work order cost estimation through conversational interfaces, supplier shipping data consolidation, automated inventory tasking and aging analysis, PDF purchase order extraction to create sales orders, product configuration from natural-language requirements, and service-parts selection using knowledge base and service history.
“As supply chains grow more complex and disruptions become more frequent, organizations need faster, more automated ways to keep operations moving,” said Chris Leone, executive vice president of Applications Development, Oracle.
Oracle also said customers and partners could create and manage their own AI agents and agent teams using AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications.
