Ooredoo Group collaborates with Aduna to provide global access to telecom APIs

Ooredoo Group announced a collaboration with Aduna, the global Application Programming Interface (API) aggregator, to provide standardized telecom APIs to businesses worldwide. This partnership aims to streamline access through a single platform, enhancing digital service integration across various sectors, including banking and e-commerce.

The integration will facilitate services such as identity verification, KYC, payment processing, and communications, thereby enabling businesses to conduct secure, cross-border transactions without extensive local agreements. Companies can utilize Ooredoo APIs to enhance customer experiences with safer and faster digital solutions.

Rene Werner, Group Chief Strategy Officer and Acting Group Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo, emphasized that this collaboration turns network intelligence into tangible business value. He noted the significance of connecting the dots between standardization and operational scale in the API economy.

Through the partnership, Ooredoo aligns with the GSMA's CAMARA project, which set global standards for open telecom APIs. The collaboration operationalizes these standards, linking Ooredoo's API offerings to Aduna's global platform and providing simplified access across industries.

Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna, indicated that the partnership aims to facilitate faster innovation for telecom operators. The gradual onboarding of Ooredoo's operational companies into the Aduna platform is scheduled through 2027, providing global enterprises with streamlined access to these digital capabilities.
