Celestica integrates Ethernet switches with Aviz Networks' SONiC solutions

Celestica developed Ethernet switch hardware now integrated with Aviz Networks' Networking 3.0 software stack, including their ONES platform, and has introduced the Network Copilot Generative AI (GenAI) management tool. These products maintain compatibility with existing network infrastructures and include around-the-clock Service Level Agreement (SLA) support with a 30-minute response time.

The collaboration addresses operational management of Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) networks by combining Celestica's hardware designs with Aviz’s software capabilities for enhanced visibility, orchestration, and automation. This enables practical deployment of SONiC across different network scenarios such as data centers, edge networks, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fabric environments utilizing Remote Direct Memory Access (DMA) (RDMA) over Converged Ethernet (RoCE).

Celestica is recognized for creating compute and connectivity solutions suited to the requirements of applications involving AI, Machine Learning (ML), and High performance computing (HPC). Aviz Networks offers a Networking 3.0 stack that operates as a data-centric, vendor-neutral framework supporting multiple ASICs, switches, network operating systems, cloud integration, large language models, and AI and security applications, designed to work within multi-vendor network ecosystems.

The companies outlined the integration of Aviz Networks' ONES platform with Celestica’s Ethernet solutions to provide a deployable package supported by continuous SLA coverage. The partnership further includes Celestica’s recent launch of the Network Copilot GenAI tool intended to assist network management.

Mini Shah, vice president of software engineering for platform solutions at Celestica, said, “Celestica is thrilled to partner with Aviz Networks, reinforcing our mutual dedication to expanding the capabilities and success of open source cloud networks through the power of SONiC. This partnership is set to elevate customer support, enabling them to optimize their networks with AI-driven automation and insightful data analytics.” Vishal Shukla, founder and CEO of Aviz Networks, said, “The addition of Celestica to the Aviz ecosystem introduces a new dimension of innovation and comprehensive solutions that cater to the edge, AI, and data center networking needs. Together, we're set to redefine the economics of hyperscale networks, simplifying operations and enhancing AI-managed functionalities for our customers.”

The companies plan to continue supporting deployments and management of SONiC-based networks through this joint hardware and software approach, emphasizing integration with existing network environments and ongoing customer support services.
