Nutanix lists cloud platform in AWS intelligence marketplace

Nutanix listed the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) in the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community (ICMP), a move the company said simplified discovery, purchase and deployment of software from vendors that support government customers.

ICMP was described in the announcement as a curated digital catalog from Amazon Web Services that makes it easier to find, buy and deploy software packages and applications from vendors that specialize in supporting government customers.

The Nutanix Cloud Platform combined compute, storage and networking into a single platform deployable on-premises (on-prem) and in the cloud, and the release stated the platform was resilient and easy to manage, reducing the time and effort required to manage IT infrastructure and enabling applications to run consistently and cost effectively across data center, edge and cloud environments.

The company reported that listing NCP on ICMP provided a procurement and deployment path for agencies seeking that platform, and the release reiterated Nutanix’s offering of a unified software platform for running applications and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and for managing data anywhere, with more than 29,000 customers worldwide noted in the filing.

“Federal missions depend on secure, agile, and efficient IT environments,” said Greg O’Connell, Vice President, Federal at Nutanix. “By making Nutanix available on ICMP, we’re helping agencies accelerate modernization so they can focus on delivering critical outcomes—not managing complexity. This trusted platform empowers government teams to simplify operations and keep their mission moving forward.”

The press release contained forward-looking statements about the benefits and capabilities of the platform and Nutanix’s ability to help agencies accelerate modernization and simplify operations.
