Mplify's CIM Service API Receives Fastest-Approved Standard Status
Common Information Model (CIM) Service Application Programming Interface (API) became Mplify’s fastest-approved standard, indicating progress in end-to-end service automation.
DALLAS, Texas, November 11, 2025 – Mplify (formerly Model Evaluation Framework (MEF)), a global alliance working to advance the AI-powered digital economy, announced that its Enterprise Leadership Council (ELC) has released a manifesto titled Accelerating Enterprise Connectivity and Automation through Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs, calling for service providers to adopt standardized business and operational APIs. Mplify reported progress with the approval of its Circuit Impairment & Maintenance (CIM) Service API, facilitating real-time network fault visibility.
Many enterprises encounter growing complexity due to rising Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads and distributed users, while facing advanced security threats. Current interactions between enterprises and service providers remain largely manual, which can obstruct agility and innovation.
The manifesto encourages service providers to implement standardized, machine-readable APIs to connect enterprise IT systems with provider networks, thus promoting real-time automation across digital ecosystems. It stresses the importance of synchronization between service providers and enterprises as the industry moves to an API-driven Network as a Service (NaaS) model.
“Fragmented, manual processes are no longer sustainable,” the manifesto stated. “Enterprises require automation at scale, real-time awareness, and control. Anything slower becomes a liability. The adoption of Mplify LSO APIs is essential for operational efficiency, agility, and resilience.”
The Enterprise Imperatives
In light of these challenges, the manifesto outlines several imperatives for service providers to fulfill enterprise demands:
- Implement Mplify Business APIs for quoting, ordering, billing, inventory, and address validation.
- Adopt Mplify Operational APIs for trouble ticketing, circuit impairment, maintenance, performance monitoring, and cybersecurity alerts.
- Support end-to-end automation from the enterprise edge, across various provider networks, and into the cloud through Mplify Network as a Service (NaaS) Payloads.
- Engage in Mplify API certification programs to ensure interoperability and lifecycle support.
These actions aim to align network operations with enterprise needs and facilitate movement towards a fully automated, standardized Network as a Service (NaaS) ecosystem.
A Milestone for the Ecosystem
The manifesto’s release is aligned with Mplify’s achievement of approving the CIM Service API as a global standard, accomplished in less than two years—the quickest timeline in the organization’s history. This API enables immediate fault isolation and performance visibility to enhance reliability in multi-provider environments.
“The approval of the CIM Service API demonstrates how quickly our ecosystem can move when enterprises and providers collaborate toward a shared goal,” said Sunil Khandekar, Chief Enterprise Development Officer, Mplify. “This is a clear signal that the industry is uniting behind open automation and standardized APIs to power the next era of NaaS.”
The ELC's message highlights increasing collaboration between enterprises and service providers aimed at enhancing automation, interoperability, and performance transparency across global digital infrastructures.
