Mimecast Appoints Ranjan Singh as Chief Executive Officer

Mimecast named Ranjan Singh as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, replacing Marc van Zadelhoff in the CEO role. Singh’s appointment set a leadership change as the company continued its execution and platform development work.

The company said van Zadelhoff supported the transition and continued in a Board advisory role. The statement also said Singh joined the company’s product and technology leadership in 2025 and later took responsibilities tied to product integration and platform development.

In 2025, Singh served as Chief Product & Technology Officer, and the company said he unified the product and engineering organizations and established an operating culture. Mimecast also said he led technical integration of acquisitions in data security, compliance and collaboration into a unified platform for managing human and AI risk, and that the company delivered more than 100 net new products and enhancements over the past year.

Singh previously spent more than three years at Kaseya as Chief Product Officer with P&L responsibility across seven business units and a portfolio of more than 40 SaaS products, with revenue of more than $1.5 billion. The company also said he held leadership roles at Crestron Electronics and IPC Systems before joining Mimecast.
