Mavenir signs MoU with Turkcell for AI voice and messaging
Mavenir and Turkcell signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate deployment of voice and messaging Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, an agreement intended to support Turkcell's strategic plan to introduce AI-powered services aimed at simplifying customers' daily lives and enhancing overall experience.
The release described a broader industry shift toward AI-native network capabilities in which intelligence was embedded directly into core services rather than delivered through over-the-top applications, and it framed the collaboration as support for Turkcell's strategic direction.
Mavenir’s cloud-native Integrated Maritime Surveillance (IMS) architecture was cited as the technical basis to support development and rollout of new services by embedding AI into the mobile core, enabling ongoing development, delivering customer experiences, maintaining carrier-grade quality, and advancing Turkcell's evolution toward AI-native communications.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the two firms outlined work to create AI-based value-added services designed for flexible packaging, tiering and enhanced customer experience, and to support the rollout of premium AI voice and messaging services and AI-powered customer care enablement described in the release.
“At Turkcell, we continuously explore how network innovation can translate into high-quality customer experiences and operational efficiency. This partnership with Mavenir, adopting their AI-by-design approach and cloud-native expertise, will accelerate our delivery of cutting-edge technology,” Vehbi Çağrı Güngör said.
The companies said they planned to create AI-based value-added services and to support development and rollout of new services built for flexible packaging, tiering and enhanced customer experience.
