Kyndryl and WPP expanded their agreement covering technology services and marketing activities across both organizations. The expanded partnership centers on WPP’s platform and support model and adds an expanded marketing relationship naming WPP as Kyndryl’s preferred global marketing partner.
The companies outlined three focus areas: transformation of WPP’s business platforms and support model, an expanded marketing partnership, and joint go-to-market initiatives intended to support customer growth tied to modernization and core business transformation. They positioned the arrangement as a broader shift in how the organizations work together.
Kyndryl described applying its Agentic AI Framework to modernize WPP’s application estate, including “intelligent support operations,” faster issue resolution, and reduced technical complexity. The planned operating model would combine workplace, cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise services under a common, automated operating model, with legacy application retirement and increased adoption of strategic enterprise platforms.
The expanded commercial work also includes Kyndryl naming WPP as its preferred marketing partner, expanding beyond Media, Brand, and Creative Strategy to include digital, experiential, and integrated marketing capabilities. Kyndryl and WPP Enterprise Solutions, previously VML Enterprise Solutions, would continue strengthening joint go-to-market efforts that were announced in 2025, while Kyndryl Bridge was cited as an AI-powered, open-integration platform to integrate, observe, and orchestrate across the technology environment.
“This partnership redefines the traditional customer-supplier relationship. Kyndryl will help WPP accelerate enterprise transformation through AI-enabled operations, platform modernisation and a simpler technology landscape, while WPP will support Kyndryl's growth through an expanded marketing partnership and joint go-to-market innovation,” said Dominic Shine, Chief Information Officer, WPP. “Together, we are investing in each other's success, creating a relationship built on shared outcomes, trust and long-term value creation.” The companies also said their Agentic AI Framework and operating-model changes would support WPP’s Elevate28 strategy.
