Ericsson announces leadership transition after Gyamlani's resignation

Ericsson announced that Moti Gyamlani will resign from Healthcare Information System (HIS) position as Senior Vice President and Head of Group Function Global Operations, effective January 12, 2026. Gyamlani has been with Ericsson since 2019 and held a role on the Executive Team since 2022.

A transition plan is currently underway as the company aims to simplify its Group structure and align functions closer to the business operations. Börje Ekholm, President and CEO, acknowledged Gyamlani's contributions and noted HIS efforts in digitally transforming the company, streamlining operations, and enhancing shared services and sourcing.

Gyamlani expressed HIS intention to pursue entrepreneurship after nearly seven years at Ericsson, citing it as a period of valuable experience in managing core operations and supporting digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformations. Homomorphic Encryption (HE) stated that HE will continue to follow Ericsson’s strategic direction as it develops its product and market leadership.
