Eman Blair Joins QuSecure Federal Advisory Board, Company Says

QuSecure, Inc. added Eman Blair to its Federal Advisory Board. The company tied the move to government work on post-quantum cryptography migration initiatives and referenced timelines tied to federal direction.

The release said federal agencies were moving from planning to execution on post-quantum cryptography migration initiatives. It cited NIST’s standardization of post-quantum algorithms and federal directives, including CNSA 2.0, which it said mandates quantum readiness by 2027. It also described an increased focus on identifying vulnerable cryptography and modernizing cryptographic infrastructure.

Blair retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in 2023 after more than two decades of service, and the release said she earned the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. It listed senior executive roles spanning data, cyber, cloud adoption, digital innovation, and defense coordination, including Chief Data Officer, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Chief of Digital Innovation for Europe and the Counterterrorism Mission Center, and Senior Representative of the CIA Director to the Department of Defense. It also said she served as Chief of Leadership Development at the CIA Leadership Academy and holds graduate degrees from Durham University and the University of Maryland, plus a bachelor’s degree from Kuwait University.

Brian Cunningham, EVP Strategy & Growth, QuSecure, said, “Eman spent her career leading some of the most complex data, cyber, and technology modernization efforts in government,” and added, “As agencies implement post-quantum requirements, her experience managing mission-critical systems at scale provides valuable insight into how organizations can modernize cryptography while maintaining operational continuity.” Blair said, “During my career at the CIA, I watched the quantum threat move from theoretical to near-term,” and added, “The institutions I served and the systems I helped build are exactly what adversaries with quantum capabilities will target. QuSecure is focused on making post-quantum protection operational for the organizations that need it most. That is why I joined their Federal Advisory Board.”

The release also described QuSecure’s cryptographic control plane for cryptographic infrastructure, including building a cryptographic inventory, enforcing policy-based governance, and rolling out compliant cryptography such as post-quantum migration.
