Simbian will host AI SOC Championship on April 8
Simbian will host the Artificial Intelligence (AI) SOC Championship on April 8, featuring a total prize pool of $10,000. This competition aims to evaluate participants' threat hunting and remediation skills in a simulated Security Operations (SecOps) Center (SOC) environment.
Participants will navigate a complex scenario with 100 active alerts drawn from various security platforms, including CrowdStrike and Microsoft Sentinel. Competitors can enter as individuals or in teams of up to three, with prizes awarded based on speed and accuracy of threat management.
Three grand prizes of $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000 will be distributed, along with ten additional awards of $500 each. Ambuj Kumar, CEO of Simbian, indicated a shift toward AI-first SOCs is imminent, and the competition serves as a test for professionals in cyber defense roles.
The event reflects the growing demand for skilled personnel in cybersecurity, as SecOps Centers globally experience talent shortages. Simbian's AI agents are designed to autonomously manage routine security tasks, allowing analysts to shift focus to more strategic responsibilities.
