Darktrace named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner NDR Magic Quadrant

Darktrace reported recognition as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Network Detection and Response (NDR) for the second consecutive year. The company said the status covered both 2025 and 2026 editions and relates to its work in network detection and response capabilities.

Darktrace stated it was the only vendor recognized as a Leader in both the 2025 and 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for NDR, and also cited a 2025 Customers’ Choice for Network Detection and Response (NDR). It said it received the recognitions after prior Gartner-related coverage, and it referenced Gartner Peer Insights customer feedback figures as of 20th May 2026.

In describing its NDR approach, Darktrace cited Self-Learning AI™ that learns normal patterns of activity and detects deviations in real time. The company also said it identified malicious activity before public vulnerability disclosures and responded before threats escalate. It further described DIGEST as a machine learning model trained on over one million anonymized incident graphs to predict which incidents are most likely to escalate.

Darktrace said DIGEST used Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to interpret incident structure and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) to analyze how incidents evolve over time, with the goal of identifying high-risk threats at the earliest stages. The release also included customer feedback quotations and attribution to Chris Kozup, Chief Marketing Officer, Darktrace, along with references to other Gartner recognitions over the past year in separate categories.

“As AI adoption accelerates, organizations are securing increasingly complex environments where identities, SaaS applications, cloud services, and network activity are more interconnected than ever,” said Chris Kozup, Chief Marketing Officer, Darktrace. “Darktrace helps security teams move beyond reactive detection by learning each organization’s unique business, identifying both known and unknown threats and responding autonomously before incidents escalate. We are proud to be recognized as a Leader by Gartner for the second year in a row, and believe our position reflects our continued AI innovation and proven delivery of security outcomes for customers and partners worldwide.”
