CompTIA premieres Careers+, a new way for aspiring tech professionals to test drive careers

CompTIA has introduced CompTIA Careers+, a virtual platform that allows users to explore various technology job roles through interactive scenarios. This initiative aims to provide insights into careers in fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and more.

Developed by the organization known for its IT training and certification offerings, CompTIA Careers+ features immersive experiences that demonstrate how individual talents and teamwork contribute to problem-solving in technology fields. Users can engage with realistic simulations that reflect the responsibilities of IT professionals.

“With CompTIA Careers+, you can explore a variety of job roles in a way that demystifies working in tech, whether it's in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity or other areas,” said Bliss Maginnis, executive producer at CompTIA. “It's an engaging and immersive day-in-the-life learning experience that's both interactive and packed with a touch of entertainment to keep things exciting.”

This experience includes scenarios where individuals from different tech roles collaborate, such as an AI engineer aligning technology with business needs, a cloud specialist developing supportive infrastructure, and an instructional designer enhancing content creation.

CompTIA has released this tool alongside its CompTIA Career Explorer resource, available for training partners and academic institutions to assist learners in building career-ready skills and knowledge.

This launch also coincides with the introduction of CompTIA’s Essentials Series, which focuses on enhancing understanding of AI, business practices, and essential workplace skills.
