Aviz Networks launches certified community SONiC distribution

Aviz Networks launched Aviz Certified Community SONiC, a production-ready software distribution and support program, and said the release responded to expanding enterprise-grade SONiC adoption at scale.

The company said it built the release on SONiC's maturity and on adoption by publicly known hyperscalers and large enterprises, and on Aviz's experience supporting more than 20,000 switch-years of SONiC in production.

Aviz developed a lifecycle management system that included the Aviz ONE Center, more than 500 automated FTAS tests, and proactive support with bug fixes, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and workarounds backed by enterprise Service Level Agreements (SLAs); the distribution supports IP CLOS, EVPN/VXLAN and MLAG and was tested across widely deployed silicon ASICs.

The product package included a certified SONiC image qualified across multiple switch vendors such as Accton/Edgecore, Celestica, Cisco, NVIDIA and Wistron; FTAS test reports covering 100+ deployment scenarios validated at the OCP-certified Aviz ONE Center; validated runbooks for data center, edge and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fabrics including IP CLOS, EVPN/VXLAN, MLAG, OpenStack and Spectrum-X; and optional operational stack support and services including ONES, Network Copilot, integration, training, certification, POCs, config conversion and bootcamps.

“Since 2023, SONiC enterprise deployment has shifted from early adopters to large, mainstream enterprises. Aviz provides a complete SONiC package that addresses the CIO's top priority, accessing simple, turnkey deployments through software images that are backed by tested designs and support for the network switches and ASICs that they already use. This is how Aviz Certified Community SONiC changes the game.” said Vishal Shukla, CEO of Aviz Networks.

Aviz Certified Community SONiC is available now through the Aviz Certified Community SONiC product listing, and enterprises may register to download verified builds for supported switch SKUs, request additional SKUs, select preferred hardware platforms and review automated test results mapped to specific configurations.
