CData Software named Challenger in 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant

CData Software has been positioned as a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools. It is the only vendor placed in that quadrant in this year's report.

Organizations moving AI initiatives from experimentation into production require enterprise data to be accessible and usable for a wider range of data consumers. CData's platform offers a unified data layer through which people, applications and AI agents work with enterprise data across cloud and on-premises systems.

The company describes enterprise AI as requiring more than a connection to a data source. Its platform addresses three requirements through a common foundation: connectivity to hundreds of cloud and on-premises systems, supporting integration, replication and live data access; context, consisting of business definitions and organizational knowledge that help AI systems interpret requests; and control, which provides governance and permissions in line with organizational policies.

The Connect AI Gateway extends the company's data integration foundation to AI applications and agents. It acts as a control point for AI models, tools, data and actions, applies governed access, and supports model routing. The Context Engine builds a governed graph of system context, business definitions and company knowledge, so that agents interpret enterprise data in line with how teams use it.
