Capgemini extends Microsoft partnership on sovereign cloud
Capgemini announced it was extending its strategic partnership with Microsoft to offer clients a fully integrated managed cloud service model intended to embed sovereignty, compliance and business continuity across digital and business transformation.
Capgemini said it planned to deliver end-to-end sovereign solutions to accelerate adoption of the Microsoft Sovereign Cloud portfolio and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, combining Capgemini’s industry experience with Microsoft’s sovereign cloud capabilities to provide options and guidance for leaders.
The collaboration outlined capabilities described in the release: sovereignty-by-design for digital transformation and AI; intelligent risk and compliance management across Microsoft’s sovereign public, sovereign private and national partner clouds; continuity and operational resilience with pre-approved resiliency scenarios; and automated protection of data including encryption, identity and access controls and real time threat detection.
Capgemini said it intended to build industry-specific solutions across financial services, public sector, defense, telco, life sciences, manufacturing and national critical infrastructure, and the companies noted their partnership spanned more than two decades; the release also cited the 2024 Bleu venture with Orange to meet cloud needs of the French State, public agencies, hospitals, regional authorities, Vital Importance Operators (OIVs) and Essential Service Operators (OSEs).

Capgemini said it intended to provide sovereignty-by-design, intelligent risk and compliance management, continuity and operational resilience, and automated protection of data across Microsoft’s sovereign public, sovereign private and national partner clouds and to build industry-specific solutions across the sectors named in the release.
