Aviz Networks partners with Spirent Communications to enhance 5G network optimization

Aviz Networks and Spirent Communications have collaborated to develop a solution aimed at enhancing intelligent traffic monitoring and artificial intelligence-based network optimization for 5G applications. This joint effort focuses on delivering more open and hardware-agnostic methods tailored for voice, video, data, Internet of Things (IoT), and other enterprise and industrial communications.

The partnership addresses operational and strategic challenges by offering a data-centric networking stack that promotes vendor neutrality and supports multiple switching and networking technologies. Within this framework, the integration is designed to improve network efficiency and reduce costs by transitioning away from conventional proprietary hardware dependencies.

Technically, Aviz Service Nodes operate on general-purpose hardware and integrate with existing packet broker networks, eliminating reliance on vendor-specific components. Spirent's Landslide platform validates these service nodes, ensuring quality and performance. Additionally, Aviz Network Copilot employs open-source large language models (LLMs) to facilitate Artificial Intelligence (AI) management within large telecom and enterprise networks.

The scope of the collaboration involves combining Aviz Service Nodes with Spirent Landslide testing capabilities to offer telecom customers an AI-enabled Networking 3.0 Stack. This pairing provides comprehensive validation and optimization for service provider networks with applications across multiple 5G use cases.

Vishal Shukla, founder and CEO of Aviz Networks, said, “Our solution is designed for AI-powered data-driven networking for 5G deployments and we estimate that customers can achieve a staggering 50% reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through this software-defined approach, thanks to our new collaboration, Aviz Service Nodes, combined with the unmatched testing capabilities of Spirent Landslide, represents a significant milestone in our commitment to Telco success with our AI-enabled Networking 3.0 Stack.”

Kishore Kumar, 5G Business Development, APAC South at Spirent Communications, said, “Partnering with Aviz Networks represents an important step to further enhance network testing, while demonstrating Landslide’s capabilities to seamlessly integrate with Aviz’s Networking 3.0 framework. This integration ushers in a new era of intelligent traffic monitoring and AI-driven network optimization, enhancing the capabilities of both solutions and setting a new standard for open, scalable, and efficient 5G network applications.”
