Aviz Networks conducts SONiC PlugFest 2025 with Keysight Technologies for multi-vendor software testing

Aviz Networks has organized SONiC PlugFest 2025, an event aimed at current and prospective users of the software for open networking in the cloud (SONiC). The event is intended to facilitate hands-on experience and evaluation of SONiC by providing access to technical assessments and migration strategies.

The event serves as a platform for assessing SONiC's performance and gathering data relevant to operational and deployment considerations. Participants are expected to receive detailed technical reports, comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, and insights on AI-supported migration methods, aiding in operational planning.

SONiC PlugFest 2025 involves testing activities designed to validate SONiC's functionalities across multiple platforms. The tests utilize Keysight Technologies' traffic generators to conduct standardized benchmarks within Aviz Networks’ SONiC ONE Center, contributing to the evaluation of SONiC’s deployment readiness.

The focus of the event encompasses testing phases and the publication of results, providing attendees with access to data and analyses for decision-making. The collaborative use of technologies from Aviz Networks and Keysight Technologies reflects a combined effort to examine SONiC's capabilities through multi-vendor assessments.

Khurram Khani, VP of Customer Success at Aviz Networks, said, “SONiC PlugFest 2025 is more than just a testing event; it is designed to accelerate your proof-of-concept and decision-making processes for adopting SONiC. We are leveraging our experience from supporting Fortune 100 companies to enrich this PlugFest. Beyond providing detailed technical reports, we will also share essential migration strategies and crucial insights necessary for mastering SONiC-based networks.” Dean Lee, Senior Director of the Cloud Solutions Unit at Keysight Technologies, said, “This PlugFest aligns with Keysight’s vision of being a neutral entity to validate SONiC’s quality and deployment readiness. As a community member Keysight has contributed heavily into SONiC’s test contents. We are excited to see that SONiC PlugFest is leveraging Keysight’s traffic generators to perform standard benchmark tests across various SONiC platforms at Aviz’s SONiC ONE Center.”

The collaboration intends to continue refining SONiC’s validation and deployment assessments, with planned activities including testing phases and public dissemination of benchmarks to support decision-making for SONiC adoption.
