Atos selected by Viasat for multi-year workplace modernization
Atos said Viasat selected it for a multi-year digital workplace modernization program. The work will cover Viasat’s operations across the United States and worldwide, aligning with Viasat’s effort to update employee support and IT services after its earlier integration activities.
Viasat is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, and provides secure connectivity solutions, according to the release. The agreement described Atos’ role in supporting organizations that deliver mission-critical communications services and expanding Atos’ presence in North America.
Under the partnership, Atos will provide enhanced service desk capabilities, advanced support services, and intelligent collaboration solutions. The program is designed to simplify IT operations, improve responsiveness, and provide employees with consistent, high-quality support regardless of location.
Atos’ North America head Michael Grunberg said, “Our deep digital workplace expertise enables global organizations such as Viasat to scale securely, efficiently, and offer a world-class digital experience for their end user community.” Viasat acting head of Global IT Scott Shippy added, “Atos demonstrated the flexibility, technical expertise, and customer-centric approach required to unify our global workforce and elevate the employee experience,” said Scott Shippy, acting head of Global IT at Viasat.
The release also said Viasat launched a global integration initiative following its 2023 acquisition of Inmarsat, aimed at streamlining IT services and creating a more unified employee experience across worldwide operations.
