Atos selected by UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as future end user services provider

The UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has selected Atos to provide end user services through a five-year contract valued at £150 million. This partnership aims to transform DEFRA's service desk and enhance user experience for the department's 34,000 employees.

The contract will focus on improving the quality and efficiency of DEFRA’s service desk using modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), analytics, and automation. In conjunction with these advancements, Atos will prioritize environmental sustainability by repairing and refurbishing hardware before issuing new devices, minimizing packaging, and donating obsolete equipment to charity.

Michael Herron, Head of UK&I at Atos Group, stated, “We are delighted to be working with DEFRA on their end user services enabling their team to concentrate on the important work they deliver.” He also noted the firm's established history of providing quality services powered by advanced technology.
