Atos launches Atos Sovereign Cloud in the EU

Atos launched Atos Sovereign Cloud, an application orchestration and modernization platform designed and engineered in the EU. The service targets organizations that require sovereign controls over data and digital operations while modernizing mission-critical applications.

Atos said the offering supports its integrated digital sovereignty strategy and addresses growing demand for sovereign IT services, including stricter regional regulatory requirements. The release frames the platform as a way to reduce dependency on external providers while strengthening resilience against cyber threats and geopolitical risks.

Atos Sovereign Cloud combines enterprise cloud capabilities with sovereign controls for data management, operational independence, and cyber resilience, and it includes AI infrastructure capabilities as described in the release. Atos said the platform is built with sovereign principles, uses open source components, and supports multiple deployment models aligned to regional regulatory requirements, with advanced cybersecurity controls incorporated for critical systems.

Atos said the service is designed to be hosted, operated, and contracted within the EU or other Atos locations as required, and it includes a dedicated marketplace for Atos services, trusted partner solutions, and customer repositories through a secure ecosystem. Atos also described Atos Amplify advisory services, using a “tried and tested sovereign advisory framework,” to help clients address sovereign concerns or regulations for their applications.
